Marty was depressed and neglected
Marty came to us in November of 2023 with his sister Ruby. Both pigs were living on a large farm in Reidsville, NC after having been passed around from owner to owner and then finally to a gentleman who could no longer care for them properly. They were eating poorly and had no comfortable beds to sleep in. They were depressed and sad, just existing day to day with no love or attention. Finally, a concerned neighbor stepped in to help and made it her mission to find these souls a forever home where they would be cared for and fed properly.
Marty will be loved forever and everToday, Marty lives with his sister Ruby and the rest of the herd in a beautiful patch of woods where he can explore, dig, and search for bugs in the soil all day. He loves napping in patches of sunshine under tall trees with the cool breeze blowing over his face. The contented look on his face shows that he’s happy and satisfied in his new home where he’ll never have to worry about healthy food or shelter ever again.
