Bobby was bred to be Christmas dinnerBobby was born and bred for one reason - to be fattened up and served for Christmas dinner. Fortunately a good Samaritan convinced his family to surrender poor Bobby until they could find him a permanent home.
When we heard about Bobby's story and his near miss with being a Christmas ham, we knew we had to rescue this boy. This was 2015 when we just started the sanctuary, and at the time, we only had baby Mandy. We immediately made arrangements for Bobby to get neutered so we could bring him home. Thanks to our buddy Bridget Munger for alerting us to Bobby's situation and driving all the way to Virginia to rescue him. Bobby is a beautiful, sexy boy!Today, Bobby is a gorgeous boy with big tusks that need to be trimmed every couple of years. Bobby spends his days exploring in the woods with his girlfriend of many years Miss Mandy. Those two are totally inseparable now. We have no doubt that their deep love for each other is strengthened by their love of life and sincere gratitude for being rescued from horrible situations.
