Bella was never supposed to liveBella came to us from Four Oaks, NC in the fall of 2022 from a family who told us a heartbreaking story about how she ended up there. Apparently her mama had been living on a nearby farm with a mean farmer who was planning to shoot her. Well, the family stepped in and took her from the mean farmer, only to find out a little while later that she was pregnant with babies. Bella was one of those babies. They rehomed all the piglets except for Bella and her mama, who unfortunately died soon afterwards. That left poor Bella without a family.
Bella will never be lonely againToday, Bella is living with her own family of pigs. She spends her days exploring the woods and napping with her new buddies. She's a gentle soul who tends to shy away from some of the more dominant pigs, but that doesn't stop her from trying to become friends with the entire herd. She especially loves Tabitha and Gregory. You can always see that trio hanging out together, playing with each other and discovering little surprises in the woods. Although Bella is only a few years old, she reminds us of one of our older, more docile pigs in the way she tends to sit back and observe rather than being right in the middle of all the action.
We love Miss Bella and can't wait to see how she continues to blossom over the many years to come. |
