Stuck in a crate surrounded by barking dogsMandy was our very first rescue back in 2015. We were alerted by a heartbreaking Craigslist post about a tiny piglet—just a couple of months old—being kept in a small dog crate in a cramped apartment in Graham, NC. She was surrounded by barking dogs, with no comfort, no space, and no one looking out for her.
The owner was preparing to move and made it clear she had no intention of taking Mandy along. We knew we had to act fast. And we did. When we brought Miss Mandy home, she was terrified—screaming and crying for her mama. She was just a baby, and the fear in her little eyes broke our hearts. Today, she's a beauty queen!Mandy made a full recovery from her traumatic beginnings. Today, she is thriving—running, playing, and living every moment to the fullest. She's a champion snuggler, especially with her sweetheart, Bobby, and her happy little tail never stops wagging.
Mandy spends her days exploring the woods, always on the lookout for new adventures. She’s got a few favorite things: spaghetti squash, juicy grapes, and of course—belly rubs! She’s come a long way from that tiny crate, and every day she reminds us why rescue matters. Mandy is proof that love and compassion can transform a life. |
