About Us
Our beloved Jenna
Jenna & Friends Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located just outside Chapel Hill, North Carolina, providing a loving forever home for rescued potbellied pigs, farm pigs, and roosters. Since welcoming our first rescue in 2015, our sanctuary has grown into a peaceful refuge where more than 25 animals live safe, happy lives surrounded by compassion, companionship, and exceptional care.
Every animal who arrives here has a story. Some were abandoned, neglected, abused, or surrendered when their families could no longer care for them. At Jenna & Friends, they are given the opportunity to heal, form lasting friendships, and simply enjoy being animals. Visitors quickly discover that no two residents are alike—each pig and rooster has a unique personality, favorite activities, and special quirks that make them unforgettable.
Beyond providing lifelong care, our mission is to inspire compassion by helping people see farm animals as individuals worthy of kindness and respect. Through tours, volunteer opportunities, educational programs, newsletters, and social media, we hope every visitor leaves with a deeper appreciation for the remarkable animals who call the sanctuary home.
The sanctuary is named in honor of our beloved dog, Jenna, whose unconditional love and gentle spirit inspired everything we do. Her legacy reminds us every day that even one compassionate heart can change countless lives, and her memory continues to guide our mission to rescue, educate, and inspire.
